Offering entertainment for all ages at your wedding is a great way to enhance the joy of your big day. Whether you're planning a traditional wedding, a rustic outdoor celebration, or a destination wedding, there are countless ways to integrate entertainment that will suit your theme and style. In this comprehensive guide, we've curated a list of 20 wedding entertainment ideas to delight guests of all ages, ensuring your wedding will be a blast for everyone.

1. Painter on Premises

Hire an artist to capture your wedding on canvas throughout the evening. Guests can watch the artwork come to life, and you'll have a beautiful keepsake to remember your day. Mama Farm has many beautiful spaces and areas where a painter could find wonderful inspiration.

2. Wine or Liquor Tasting

Invite a local winery or distillery to do a tasting onsite. Guests love to gather and talk around these tables and learn about the process of creation from the purveyor. There are many local wines in our area, as well as other kinds of food and beverage artisans. Please talk to us about options and who we have had success with in the past.

3. Oyster Bar

We love working with a local oyster man who calls himself the TallMuthaShucka! He harvests all his own oysters and creates delicious sauces and relishes using ingredients sourced from local farms, including our own. He is always a hit at weddings and parties and having his oyster bar is a great way of showcasing our local environment’s bounty and unique offerings.

4. Wedding Magician

Having a magician wander among your guests, astounding them with sleight of hand and mind-bending tricks is a great icebreaker and conversation starter. Kids also love magicians!

5. Interactive Photo Booth

Provide your guests with an interactive photo booth that offers props and instant prints. It's a fun way for them to capture memories and you’ll treasure these silly  photos in the days and years to come.

6. Video Booth

Having a video booth is a great way to have guests share their thoughts and best wishes instead of writing them out.

7. Flower Crown Bar

A flower crown bar is a wonderful way to engage and entertain guests of all ages. A flower crown bar would have cut flowers, floral wire, flower tape and someone on hand to help guests create their crowns. Boutonnieres for men can also be created at the flower crown bar as they require the exact same tools.

8. Interactive Food Stations

Our catering partners can create a plethora of options for interactive food stations, such as a DIY taco bar, a pizza bar, or a dessert bar. Much of the food would come straight from our fields, further connecting you and your guests to the environment and atmosphere that surrounds them.

9. Mind Reader, Hypnotist or Tarot Readings

Inviting a mind reader, hypnotist, or tarot card reader to engage your guests is a fun a conversation starter that will have everyone talking long after your wedding.

10. Flash Mob Surprise

For an outdoor or summer wedding, consider coordinating a flash mob dance scene to surprise your guests. If you wish to celebrate your family heritage, a flash mob can be a fun and creative way to integrate this into your wedding day.  Mama Farm has a variety of contacts to help bring a vision like this to life; please ask us if you are interested and tell us about your vision so we can offer ideas!

11. Lawn Games

Set up a variety of lawn games like cornhole, giant Jenga, or ring toss to keep guests entertained during cocktail hour or between dances. Our local libraries offer a loan program for their “Library of Things” which would include items like this.

12. Fire Pit & Smores Station

A cozy evening fire is a wonderful way to help with the flow of the evening. Guests will gravitate toward the fire to connect and share time together.  If you wish, you could also create a smores bar near the fire pit, which will be particularly fun for children.

13. Fireworks Display

If your venue allows, you can light up the night with a breathtaking fireworks display. It's a memorable way to conclude your celebration with a bang.

14. Guest Participation Acts

Encourage guests to showcase their talents, whether it's singing, dancing, or playing musical instruments. Having children sing, dance or play music is always a crowd pleaser.

15. Celebrity Impersonators

Hiring a celebrity impersonator to mingle with your guests and create memorable interactions is a fun way to add flair to a wedding celebration. It is also fun to have tribute bands give a surprise  performance and get the dancing started.

16. Karaoke

Set up a karaoke station for your guests to unleash their inner rock stars. It's a fantastic way to get everyone involved and have a blast.

17. Face Painter

A face painter for kids is always a fun idea, but some face painters can also offer more sophisticated face painting for adult guests.

18. Game Table

Some people love to dance and others just don’t. For guests who prefer to party in a quieter way, consider creating a game table for them where they can play cards or other fun games.

19. Silent Disco

Every venue will have a time that loud music needs to shut down to comply with neighborhood edicts and respect neighbors.  Keep the party going by offering guests the chance to dance to their own tune with a silent disco. Each guest wears wireless headphones with access to multiple music channels, ensuring everyone can enjoy the music they love and keep the good times rolling.

20. Morning After Kits

Providing guests with Morning After Kits providing things like electrolytes, aspirin and sunglasses is a fun way to usher them off into the night and close your wedding party.

We hope this guide has been helpful in getting your creative juices and ideas flowing. The key to selecting the perfect wedding entertainment is to align it with your wedding theme and choose activities that reflect your story and things that are meaningful and fun for you. You should also be aware that overwhelming guests with too many options is not necessary. Whether you opt for a tribute band or a flash mob, or quieter activities like interactive games and tasting tables, your wedding entertainment will help to create a wedding day that leaves a lasting impression. If you have your own ideas about entertainment not listed here, we would love to hear about it! The team at Mama Farm loves to create and ideate. We look forward to celebrating your Big Day.
